As a Councilman, I promise to support the following
- establishing a public advocate position
- the over-all betterment of Edison and the quality of life for its residents
- representing Edison residents instead of special interest groups, especially developers
- improving recreational opportunities for Seniors and youth
- increasing open space, including at 41 Glendale Avenue
- limiting overdevelopment
- halting condemnations of private property
- avoiding litigation, except when necessary
- strengthening ordinances, to benefit residents
- limiting variances
- improving vehicular/pedestrian traffic and safety
- alerting residents of crimes and hazards
- creating a welcoming environment at township meetings and encouraging resident participation
- increasing accountability to residents
- increasing transparency
- providing accurate prompt answers to residents
- broadening communication channels to residents
- seeking and accepting state/Federal funds/grants
- demanding prompt preparation and introduction of budgets
- refusing emergency appropriations, due to a late budget
- increasing budget lines and reducing "other" expense lines
- dividing the capital improvement account into individual project accounts
- establishing litter details, for those sentenced to community service
- expanding senior transportation to township/school events and offering them VIP seating
- promoting Senior recreation, events, & trips
- subsidizing Seniors, who join Metuchen and Woodbridge Seniors, due to insufficient programming
- improving the Animal Shelter
- reducing unnecessary spending
- improving planning and budgeting
- maintaining and restoring township assets
- increasing police patrols to decrease crime
